Sombra ARG: just like Five Nights at Freddys

So Blizzard has been teasing their new hero ever since the release of Overwatch, but this needs to STOP.

The title is a bold statement but it's true.
This no longer feels like a game or a set of teasers giving info. This "subtlety" is just like tuning Merasmus' magical television. "Stand on the dirt splotch as a certain class on a certain team." It also combines some Scott Cawthon-esque tactics. "Go to a certain screen and punch the concrete tiles in a certain order. Then listen for the Morse code. Then put that in a cipher. Then go to the website and input that code. Then go into the source code of the following page and divide by 9.362102482948298. And THEN input that into the site and get Rick Rolled. Wait till 2021 for more details."

Just had to get that out of my head, now where was I?
This game is great, but it's got a horrible hype train. While other games like Call of Duty have hype trains like Doc Brown's flying steam engine train time machine (literally it seems sometimes). Overwatch has that train from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 "The Roosevelt" or something like that (and we remember how horrible those movies were).

Technically it is still an Alternate Reality Game, but it's no longer fun and i'm sick of the videos.

  1. Hype can be great sometimes ... or it can make you sick of a game (or book) before it even comes out. It's a tough balance!
